Myanmar's Leading Food & Beverage Company
Nestlé Myanmar began distributing products in the country in 1991, introducing popular brands such as Nescafé, Milo, Lactogen, Cerelac, and Maggi. In 2017, the company established its first manufacturing facility in Yangon, marking a significant investment in local production. However, due to the ongoing political instability following the 2021 military coup, Nestlé announced in early 2023 that it would cease all operations in Myanmar. This decision included the closure of its factory and head office in Yangon, with the company transitioning to a distributor model to maintain its presence in the market .
Prior to this, Nestlé had partnered with Myanmar Distribution Group (MDG), a national distributor for international brands, to manage its distribution network across the country
