Cost Accountant at one of the FMCG Companies in Yangon, Myanmar 

• Manage and analyze financial data related to manufacturing costs, including preparation of regular cost reports and conducting variance analysis to ensure accurate cost allocation

• Up to 1,200,000 MMK plus other allowances

The Role

This role requires to monitor manufacturing variances and implement measures to deliver cost effectiveness and improve profit margins

Description

• Maintain and support the Fixed Asset module, including asset capitalization, tagging, sighting, and disposal processes

• Act as a financial partner to the Supply Chain team, supporting financial performance reviews, cost reduction efforts, saving initiatives, and CEB (Cost Efficiency Board) processes

• Conduct detailed analysis and feasibility studies to support business decision-making

• Perform product cost analysis and review material cost movements regularly

• Identify, drive, and supervise cost-saving initiatives while ensuring operations comply with internal controls and company financial policies

• Reconcile and record monthly accruals accurately

• Participate in the preparation of plant cost of sales

• Monitor and control inventory levels at the plant to optimize working capital

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Management, or related field

• Strong skills in financial analysis and cost accounting, with proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

• Proficiency in using accounting software and advanced Excel skills capable of handling complex datasets

• Excellent organizational and time management abilities to manage multiple priorities effectively

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments

• Previous experience in the manufacturing or FMCG industry is highly advantageous

• Ability to communicate effectively in English
