This role Leading and supervising the accounting team’s daily operations and activities, including delegation of tasks and performance management

Description

Preparing, reviewing, and approving financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and budget reports

Managing full set of account, month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting

Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS) and regulatory requirements
-
Developing and implementing accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to improve accuracy and efficiency
-
Coordinating with auditors, tax advisors, and other external/internal stakeholders for audits and financial reviews
-
Supporting training, onboarding, and performance evaluation of accounting staff
-
Liaising closely with other departments such as Treasury, Tax, and Controlling to ensure cohesive financial management
Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field is typically required
-
Professional certifications such as ACCA or equivalent are preferred
-
5 years of relevant accounting experience with proven leadership or supervisory experience.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards such as IFRS, depending on the organization’s requirements
-
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and advanced Excel skills
-
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to manage team dynamics and interact with stakeholders effectively

Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in financial data processing and reporting
